Richard graduated with Honours from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy. His passion for sport, health and fitness, combined with his curiosity about the human body, inspired him to pursue physiotherapy and help others improve their quality of life. Before becoming a physiotherapist, he spent three years working as a sports trainer with local soccer, rugby and AFL clubs, where he gained valuable experience supporting athletes through injury and rehabilitation.
Richard enjoys treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions and is developing a particular interest in neck and back pain. As a naturally curious person, he enjoys listening to each patient’s story, exploring the possible causes of their symptoms and helping them better understand what is happening in their body. He believes no two people or injuries are exactly the same, so treatment should be tailored to the individual rather than following a one-size-fits-all approach. Depending on each person’s needs and stage of recovery, Richard may use a combination of hands-on treatment, exercise rehabilitation, strength training and education.
Born in South Korea, Richard moved to Australia in 2014 and speaks both English and Korean. Outside the clinic, he enjoys running, resistance training and basketball, although he is equally happy kayaking while watching the sunset. He loves trying good food, spending time with family and friends, and relaxing with a movie, K-drama or anime. Business Manager
Qualifications:
About me:
Sophie is the organised backbone keeping things moving across all four of our clinic locations. Growing up working in her parents family run transport business, she spent a decade learning the ins and outs of fast paced administration and operations. This background taught her how to handle daily operations under pressure, wear multiple hats at once, and solve problems on the fly, making her incredibly well equipped to manage the daily moving parts of a business with multiple clinics.
Expanding her experience further, Sophie also took on the administration and management of a Bowling & Tennis Club. Through these varied roles, she realised how much she loves being part of a close knit community and prefers the personal touch of a private practice over a cold corporate setting. This mix of fast paced business operations and a genuine love for people gives her a highly practical, reliable, and people first approach to healthcare operations.
As our Business Manager, Sophie works closely with our wonderful administrative team to ensure that everything behind the scenes runs seamlessly. While our therapists focus on clinical care, Sophie and the admin team handle the rest. She believes that organised systems and a well supported team are essential to giving our patients a stress free experience, whether they are visiting us in Jimboomba, Beaudesert, Yarrabilba or Browns Plains.
Outside of work, Sophie loves keeping active and chasing new adventures. You will often find her working out at the gym, enjoying the outdoors, or sharing her passion for cars, which usually involves catching the action trackside on weekends. She also cherishes every chance she gets to travel and spend quality time with her family.
