Funding
Private Health Fund
At our clinic, we make it easy for you to claim your private health fund benefits on the spot through HICAPS. This convenient service allows us to process your claim immediately, so you only need to pay the gap fee—the difference between what your health fund covers and the total cost of the treatment. Please note that the gap fee can vary depending on your individual health insurance policy and level of coverage. For your convenience, gap fees can be paid via EFTPOS, Credit Card, or cash. We kindly ask that appointments be cancelled with at least 12 hours’ notice to avoid being charged a full cancellation fee.
Enhance Primary Care (EPC) Medicare Plan
We do accept Enhanced Primary Care Plans at Absolute Physio & Rehab. To access this funding, you must first go to your doctor and enquire if you are eligible. This plan will state that your condition is chronic and requires physiotherapy or a variety of other Allied Health Services. If you are eligible, you are entitled to a maximum of five (5) allied health sessions over the 12 month calendar year. Physiotherapy, exercise physiology and dietitian services will incur a gap fee of $15-$20. Appointments must be cancelled with at least 12 hours notice or you may be liable for a full cancellation fee.
Queensland Police Service (QPS)
The Queensland Police Service (QPS) offers various support services for their employees, including access to allied health services. To promote the mental, physical, and emotional well-being of officers and staff, QPS funds up to 3 physiotherapy sessions per employee, per financial year. Simply bring your employee badge and employee number to your appointment, and we will bill QPS directly for your convenience. Please ensure appointments are cancelled with at least 12 hours' notice to avoid being charged a full cancellation fee.
Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA)
We do accept Department of Veterans Affairs patients, so long as we have received the correct referral paperwork from your doctor. Please visit the link below for further information regarding DVA funding.
WorkCover (WC)
We accept WorkCover patients and are committed to supporting your recovery process. Before your appointment, there are a few important steps to follow. Ensure that your incident has been reported to your workplace and WorkCover, and that your GP has been notified. Once your claim has been lodged, you will receive a claim number, which may take a few days or weeks to process. After your claim is approved, you can see the appropriate allied health professional at our clinic.
Please provide your claim number and an up-to-date medical certificate either before or at your initial appointment. All invoices for treatments will be billed directly to WorkCover. If your claim hasn’t been approved yet but you wish to start treatment, you can still book an appointment. In this case, the full fee will be required upfront, and you can claim the cost back from WorkCover if your claim is later approved. Please ensure that appointments are cancelled with at least 12 hours' notice to avoid being charged a full cancellation fee.
CTP Insurance
We do accept third party insurance claims. You must have reported the incident to your insurance company and notified your GP. A claim number and medical certificate should then be provided to you. Once the claim has been approved, you can see the appropriate Allied Health professionals onsite.
The invoices from these treatments will go directly to your insurance company. However, if your claim has not been approved and you want to begin treatment as soon as possible, you can book in to see the appropriate Allied Health Professional. Though, you will be required to pay the full fee upfront and then claim this back from your insurance company if approved.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Absolute Physio & Rehab is an approved provider of the NDIS. We accept both self-funded and those who wish to use external Plan Managements. To see a therapist, we will require the correct paperwork and information. Please visit their website for further information regarding NDIS.
